Software written for painting.
The editor works in millimetres, the way a printer does. You place your photo, crop it, and decide on the finished size — and the picture that comes out is the picture you set up.
Paint that knows which number it is.
Our standard palette holds 512 colours and 48 greyscales, and every one of them has a number that matches a field on your template. A picture draws its 8, 16, 24 or 32 colours from that palette, so the tube in your hand belongs to your photo.
